Konkurs "Copper and the Home"

Konkurs "Copper and the Home" jest skierowany do młodych projektantów oraz studentów wzornictwa. W tym roku nadesłano ponad 200 prac z Europy, Chile, Indii i Meksyku. Uczestnicy mieli za zadanie zaprojektować przedmiot domowego użytku z zastosowaniem miedzi. Wybór miedzi nie jest przypadkowy. Oprócz tego, że jest materiałem dającym szerokie możliwości zastosowania, eliminuje również ze swojej powierzchni bakterie, wirusy i grzyby, jest przeciwdrobnoustrojowy. Tegoroczna edycja konkursu "Copper and the Home" obfitowała w zdumiewające projekty, a nagrody przypadły głównie Włochom.
Organizatorem „Copper and the Home” był Włoski Instytut Miedzi (Instituto Italiano del Rame). W Polsce oficjalnym partnerem wydarzenia jest Polskie Centrum Promocji Miedzi (PCPM).
Pierwsze miejsce w kategorii profesjonalnych projektantów zdobyła Liuba Campolo (Włochy) i projekt "Cover" - podstawka i podpórka do roślin

Drugie miejsce w tej samej kategorii przyznano Francesco Constacurcie (Włochy) i projektowi „Delizie d’Italia” - foremki do ciasta w kształcie najważniejszych zabytków od krzywej wieży w Pizie po Koloseum

Wyróżnienia zdobyli:
Ruben Johan Der Kinderen (Holandia) za projekt „Blow Vases”

Oleg Igoreviĉ Pugachev (Niemcy) za projekt „Bobino Side table”

Antonio Gramegna (Włochy) za projekt „Piccole sculture”

Daniel Martinez (Hiszpania) za projekt „The New Tin Can Phone”

W kategorii studenckiej zwyciężył Renato Scicchitano (Włochy), który przygotował projekt pod nazwą „Igea – Tornare a Stare Bene”
